Bonus 1. Ice Climbing
I spent a weekend in New Hampshire preparing for my Mt. Rainier summit attempt. It was a pretty amazing experience. The weather that weekend was the stuff out of record books. Negative 20 degrees ambient, 100 mph sustained winds with 140mph gusts, -70 degrees with the windchill. Despite not being able to summit, I learned an incredible amount both about mountaineering, but also ice climbing. Suffice it to say, I'll be back to the White Mountains to conquer Mt. Washington.
